"I think it is right that socially, I am afforded the same respect as men" said Emma Watson in a speech. Emma Watson is only 25 years old and she is my hero. She is an English actress, model, also a Goodwill Ambassador. Because of the movie Harry Potter she became a well-known celebrity. What makes her my hero? There are a lot of great actress, why her? She is a great actress, but the main reason is what she is doing to change the world. You will be amazed that there is a lot we should change.

Emma Watson was appointed as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador in 2014. She launched a campaign called #HeForShe, encouraging Gender Equality, breaking the frame of men and women, defending women's rights, no more Gender Stereotypes. She also gave a speech about feminism. She showed that women should stand up and protect our rights. I love her speech, it may be the best speech about feminism. It let me feel confident and significant. She said: ''I think it is right that women be involved on my behalf in the policies and the decisions that would affect my life. I think it is right that socially, I am afforded the same respect as men." It is important to me because it means girls aren't worse than boys, we are the same we should have some respect.

It's true that we sometimes don't get the same respect as boys, men get higher pay, and women should care for children. There are too many examples. When I was young, my classmates didn't let me play with them because I am a girl. It's totally unfair and I was really mad, but now I play ball with boys and I'll tell them we deserve to do this. Emma Watson is even more powerful, she told the whole world women deserve better treatment. She decided that she was a feminist, it does not mean she hates men, men also deserve the same rights. She thinks men don't have the benefits of equality, either. The best way is both men and women should feel free, instead of two sets of opposing ideals.

Maybe you think it's not your business, and that is the difference between you and my hero. If everyone doesn't care about the problem we won't solve the problem. Emma Watson cares about it and she wants to make it better. "If not me, who? If not now, when?" It's one of my favorite quotes, it reminds me how it is important, and what can we do. It's time to change. Let's follow Emma Watson to change the world, she is my hero for life. I am so proud of her, she is as brave as a warrior, and she has the courage to stand out for women.

I want to be a girl like her, do something meaningful once in my lifetime. Maybe one day, women can expect to get the same salaries as men, for the same work. Maybe one day girls all over the world can get an education. It may be a dream, it may be a goal, but we can start it from now. Emma Watson sets a great example, she is only 25 years old and she did such an amazing contribution. I believe that she is a real hero, not only for women, a real hero to the world.
