Emmitt Smith once said, "What I accomplished definitely wasn't achieved by myself. Without others, none of this would have been possible"("Emmitt Smith." Great). Emmitt Smith III who was one of the five children born under Emmitt Smith, Jr. and Mary Smith, Emmitt was born on May 15, 1969, in Pensacola Florida("Emmitt Smith Biography."). While facing many obstacles as a child, Emmitt's family struggled financially, he worked many jobs, and his hard work would soon pay off in the future.  Emmitt's parents had him in youth leagues by the time he was seven and played no other sports or hobbies, as he entered high school he had so much talent he was the starting varsity running back as a freshman. Emmitt was a star athlete throughout his career, playing for the University of Florida, and then going on to play for his dream team the Dallas Cowboys. Emmitt has a sense of integrity, is caring, and has determination, through all of the actions he has made.

The amount of integrity that Emmitt Smith has is tremendous. He stands up and shows his true personality. This has lead Emmitt to many opportunities after his career such as a sport announcer, business owner and many other things. "People have been critical of things that he has said and his articulation. However, he has risen to the occasion and has continued to deliver in whatever role he plays in life. He has had a hall of fame"(Riverman). Emmitt's attitude has been questioned by some throughout his career, but with integrity he rises to each occasion in his life and makes his life a hall of fame. Emmitt showed integrity on and off the field during his life of playing football which lead him to many great things after his retirement. He actually went on to win "Dancing with the Stars" after his football career. Emmitt had such a great attitude that he is considered one of the best.

  For people, family, friends, and what you have is something that Emmitt does. He was a giving person during his career and still is today with his charities and business. He speaks in this quote about his family, "There is nothing I am today that I would be without family. I inherited my athletic skills, and I learned all about life--how to love, how to act, how to treat people, how to expect to be treated--from my family. It's family, not football, which has been the greatest gift of all. I could get hurt tomorrow, and football would be over. Family will always be there"(Riverman). Emmitt's family is a big part of his life. He learned everything from his family, he cares for them and they care for him. His passion for everything is amazing, knowing that he would not be where he is now without his family. "Smith continues to give back to the community and support higher education via Pat & Emmitt Smith Charities, an organization that annually awards college scholarships and provides enrichment opportunities to underserved youth"("Emmitt Smith Biography"). Emmitt still gives back to the community and other ways such as charities, etc. All of these ways prove he is caring to individuals in need and his fans. Smith supports education and thinks everyone should be educated.

Emmitt's high profile career, his great family, friends, and others with all their support during his life from growing up to becoming the star player on his dream team the Dallas Cowboys. Emmitt has a growing charity and business, while working for ESPN, because of his respectable football career people have continued liking him after retiring.  Emmitt Smith is an inspiration for many football fans including Dallas Cowboys fans. He is an inspiration because of his great amount of integrity, his ability to care for everyone, and his determination to achieve what he wants. Not many people have a lot of integrity, which is why Emmitt is a great individual. If no one cared for one another, then the world wouldn't be a good place. Emmitt is one of the people who cares for his family, friends, and others. If you were not determined then you would not get anywhere in life, Emmitt was determined to make his life one of a kind which he did.
