A hero to me is somebody that does good for a good reason. He helps to make the world a better place for people to live and to work. That is why my hero is Thomas A. Edison. He never quit when his light bulb didn’t work.

My hero, as we all know, invented the light bulb. Without the invention of the light bulb, humanity would be nowhere. We would not have T.Vs. We wouldn’t even have basic things like the stove that we use every day.

My hero was born in Milian, Ohio on February 11, 1847, and died on Sunday, October 18, 1931 at 9 p.m. He lived in Milian, Ohio and moved to Fort Myers, Florida.

This person is important to me because society now has light to see in the dark. So now we don’t have to light a candle; we just flip a switch. Edison made our life a lot easier. Without electricity, we wouldn’t have cars, computers, or Gameboys. He has revolutionized the way we live today.
