My hero is Alexander Edler.
Alexander Edler was born in Ostersund, Sweden in 1986. In his draft year he was a virtual unknown except from the Canucks; they drafted him in the 7th round. He still plays for the Canucks.
Alex Edler is my hero because he was the "go to guy" when most of the Vancouver defensemen got injured so they leaned quite heavily on him to perform. He did and now he is one of the best defensemen on the Canucks.
Alexander Edler inspired me to be a defenseman. Edler has pulled through when times were tough and I think he is the best defenseman on the Canucks team.
