Eminem started rapping as a teen in Detroit. He became big when he made Slim Shady with the help of Dr. Dre. Later he starred in the movie the 8 Mile. The 8 Mile was based on his early life. Eminem has a daughter name Hillie and two adopted daughters name Whitney and Elena. In 2006 he remarried Kimberly Mathers. They split up three months later. His song on the 8 Mile call "Lose Yourself" is known for his best song ever. Later on he went to rehab. In 2009 he came back with the Relapse album and then with the Recovery album in 2010.

In 2011 he won two Grammys for the best rap album and the best rap solo. Eminem won a total of nine Grammys in his life. He had a great performances at the 2010 Grammys and again at the 2011 Grammys. He has performed with lot of other great singers like Lil Wayne, Dr. Dre, Rihanna, and Jay-z. Eminem made a difference in the aspect of rap. He is the most famous white rapper there is. He is one of the only rappers to rap about his life, personal events, and family. He is making headlines with his intense, and influencing songs.

Eminem has been through hard times in his life - for example he lost his best friend in 2006 who he call Proof. He was in rehab but now he is recovered and back on top. He was in a dark place but he didn't back down, so now he has escaped it. He is looking to help others who might still be in that place and trying to get out.
