I have one true hero, my dad. He is an important figure in my life. I have been immitating him since age three like smiling.

My dad in an orthopedic surgeon. Sometimes he lets me come and help him out but all I do is carry his cloth bandages. He has many patients. One time a man popped his hip out of the joint and needed to come in. Another worked for Gray Davis. (Gray Davis is the former governor of California after being recalled in 2003). He also keeps track of their health in black binders. The binders say how many red and white blood cells there are, and their temperature. By coming to his work I can see that working hard is very important.

When my dad is not at work, you can find him playing golf with the boys in our family because we have been golfing since we were young. We usually go to Verdugo Hills and the holes are from 115-75 yards. I especially like the holes that go downhill, which makes it easier. Some times we even eat lunch there. Usually my dad beats us but one time he placed third but he was still a good sport about it. By playing very well we learned to be good sports and not brag.

Fun. That is another way to describe my dad. One of the crazy things about my dad is that when he is asleep on the couch and we change the channel. He wakes up and “Blah, blah, blah,” he yells, “Change it back I was watching that!” My dad loves ocean life, whether it’s on T.V., or in real life. He has taken us many times to the ocean. One time at the beach we caught a jellyfish, it was a blue clear one. Whether we’re fishing, hiking, playing baseball and soccer he always seems to be joyful.
Whether he is sleeping or awake I will always love and think about him.
