Francisco Alexander Bertrand

Don’t you just love when you have a hero in your family? Well I do and my hero would be my dad. My dad’s name would be Francisco Alexander Bertrand. Francisco came from the capital city of Tegucigalpa in Honduras. He has made it all through college and got a master's degree. He is going to get married with his girlfriend named Lisa. Right now he works in communications. He does cable too.

My hero has done a lot of things that makes me proud of who I am. He has been able to move forward with anything that gets in his way, which makes me feel like I am able to do that too. My father has given up drinking beer, though I guess when he realized he was going to have me. He had me when he was seventeen. He has even stopped going to nightclubs because he knows he has a responsibility at home. Even though I tell him to go out and have fun he prefers spending his free time with his family. Every once in a while Lisa and I beg him to go out and have fun with his friends. Although he has given up his favorite things that he enjoyed he instead prefers his family.

As mentioned in the first paragraph he has lived in Honduras, in a city called Tegucigalpa during his childhood. When he was seventeen he lived in a big city called Houston. When he was eighteen he made it to California. Right now he lives in Palmdale. I visit him during the weekend. Usually I hate when days pass on slow, because I want to see my dad fast!

For as long as my dad is with me I know I will always love him.

Francisco is important to me because he has supported me in everything that gets in my way. He has also made a difference in my life by telling me never to give up and to be thankful for what I have because he didn’t have the opportunity that I had. If it weren’t for him I would be in 5th grade. I look up to him because he has showed and been through everything with me.
