My hero is Terry Fox. He was born July 28th, 1958 in Winnipeg. He went to Simon Fraser University. Terry lived with his family: Darrel, Rolly, Betty. Terry loved to do sports like basketball and baseball.

Terry had cancer in his right knee bone. Terry got inspiration from a man that ran the New York Marathon with one leg. Terry liked Darryl Sittler and Bobby Orr.

Terry risked his life for others. He wanted to cure cancer by collecting money for cancer.

Terry died in June, 1981. Terry was 22 when he died. He was really young when he died and he was a great Canadian.

I choose this hero because he has helped many cancer victims. He died for others if they had cancer.
