Terry Fox

by George from Sydney

My goal is for every Canadian to donate one dollar

Terry Fox was a true hero and an inspiration to all. He was a durable man. He was dedicated to his cause. He was an inspiration to all of Canada, even after his death.

Terry Fox was very durable. First he had to endure his first encounter with cancer. He had bone cancer in his leg. He had to be durable to deal with the fact that he had to amputate his leg. After he thought that his battle with cancer was over, he trained for 14 months. He ran for 143 days, running on average 26 miles per day. He realized that he had lung cancer while running one day. That’s what killed him.

Terry Fox was very dedicated to his cause. He never gave up and always kept going. His dedication to the run and the cancer research was so great that even after he died, people continued to donate. We now have the Terry Fox Foundation.

Terry Fox was a inspiration to all Canadians. Even though he didn’t finish his Marathon, he convinced many Canadians to donate money for the cause. His run raised $24.2 million. Even after his death, his run inspires Canadians to run and donate money for cancer research even today.
