Gabby Douglas

Imagine being on a balance beam as the crowd is watching, all the pressure is on you. If you fall or slip on a certain skill it all depends on the gold medal. Her name is Gabby Douglas, she is the best at what she does. Meeting her would be a dream come, true. To do gymnastics she needs to have fearlessness, courage, and bravery.
Gabby Douglas did something that had never been done before and that is being the first African American to win the team gold medal in 2012 at the Olympics. When she was training she worked so hard to be the best. When she went to the Olympics she would fight so hard to get the gold medal. She would practice for hours to get her skills perfect. She conquers her fears even if she knows that she might not be able to conquer it the first time. She conquered it by winning the gold medal. She started gymnastics when she was 6, since then she has worked all her life to do her best at everything she does.
She pursued her dreams when she started gymnastics. She has had courage all her life in everything she does. When she won the Gold Medal she has been helping other children pursue their dreams. She has so much courage - when she went to her first competition she went out there and did her best, even if she knew that she was not going to win.
When Gabby Douglas
was going to train she had to have a lot of bravery because it required her to move in with another family for a couple of years and, she would not be able to see her mom. Gabby Douglas says that to not be afraid but to conquer that fear and that took her a lot of courage to say. She also had to have a lot of courage the rough times has been through when she was little.
This girl has so much bravery. She is fearless and she has so much courage. There is nothing that can stop her from doing what she believes in. This girl is my hero because she inspired me to do what I believe in. Now because of her I follow my gymnastic dream wherever it takes me.
