George Ellery Hale

He was a great hero to the works of astronomy

My hero is George Ellery Hale. He was a hero to me because he had many observatories and was a founding father to almost all of them. Also, one of the main reasons why I like him is because he had never earned a degree in his life but he still became an astronomer. He also invented the spetoheliograph that could be able to help look into the works of astronomy. These are all reasons why I chose George Ellery Hale as my hero.

Some biographical information about him is actually quite fascinating. He was born on June 29, 1868 and passed away on February 21, 1938 making him 70 years old when he died. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and worked as an astronomer and a full time professor. He had many ups and downs but worked hard through them all without a degree. My hero helped others quite a bit even if the people he helped didn�t know it. He invented many things that helped with peoples lives. He also made an observatory that helped with the study of astronomy. He also raised funds to support causes for the navy. I think George Ellery Hale made contributions to both knowledge and to society.
