My hero, that I look up is George Washington. He affects my life a lot even though he is dead. He actually affects everyone, not just only me, but the United States that I lived in. I think he is the most famous person in the American history in his lifetime. That is properly why I look up to him. He also might be a strong and nice person because of all he did. One of George Washington's famous quotes was “ I can not tell a lie,” I guess that is why he was on the one dollar bill or a president.

First, George Washington accomplished a lot of things, one was that he was the first president of the United State. Washington also led the Continental Army to victory over the British in the American Revolutionary War. Which lasted 1775-1783. He also took part in the French and Indian War. He accomplished a lot of important things ending up to the Constitution for the United States.

George was born on February 22, 1732. His family live in Westmorland Country, Virginia. In his early days his career was a planter and in 1748 was invited to help survey Baron Fairfax’s land west of the Blue Ridge. In December 1753, Governor Robert Dinwiddie sent Washington to assess French military strength and intentions. Also delivered a message to French forts. But now we know his work is being the first President of the United States.

Lastly, what did Washington think about people and the land? George Washington thought that everyone in America should be free. Also because people and him came from a country with a ruler or king that has all the power. That's why people went to America, to find a better place to live in. Even though they came over here they were still not that free. George thought everyone should be free from power. So he and a group of people made the constitution of independents. So that the government and the people don’t have too much power so he helped shape America. When he and a group of people made the constitution it took more then 3 months without giving up. But almost did leave.

All in all that shows that he did not quit even in hard times. That is why people admired him and what he did. People also remember him by the thing he did that made and shaped America today. I wish I were him because he was the president and is on the dollar bill, quarter, and has his own monument. That is why George Washington my hero.
