Grandpa William

by Riley from Loveland

Imagine yourself stuck in a pickle, you know it sits in your mind small but you really need help. It seems to always the small things that heroes do to make a hero a hero. Just like my hero's small acts that actually seem huge to me and everybody else. My Grandpa William, selfless, dedicated, and sacrificial. He holds the place of the best grandpa ever and will always be my hero.A lot of people are selfless, they share, help, and dedicate themselves to others to make themselves heroes. My grandpa, is one of those people, he lives very selfless. He, always ready to do whatever his family needs, helps everyone. One time he had to go to Louisiana to help my uncle with his wedding. Whenever we all go somewhere together he always lets us make a giant statement in the decision. For example, we go on a lot of reunions and camping trips together and we have to decide where it will take place at. Whenever he gets something he gets it for everyone or uses it in a way to help us all, he got a trailer and whenever someone needs it he drives it to their house. He always stands successful in his selflessness.A hero has to be dedicated to everything they do, they can not just focus on one thing and see what they can do. They focus on what needs to be done even if they think it can not be done, and that, only just another thing my grandpa is good at. When he does something for his family he does not just forget, he finishes strong and hard. As he was trying to buy jet skies it got really stressful but he got them. He always tries to make everyone happy, weather we go out to dinner or doing something else. We were going to a fancy dinner and we had to decide where we were going. He always makes everything right with everyone, because sometimes things go wrong, there come misunderstandings between people, but he always finds a way to make it right. There were choices made without communicating between my aunts and he made it right. Being dedicated to this kind of stuff is important, and he does a good job at it.A hero must sacrifice a lot of things in order to make something right. My grandpa, William, sacrifices a bunch of his time to help everyone who needs it. Every Monday morning he takes me to Johnson's Corner and comes late to work. He helps people with anything they need like cars, houses, or electrical problems even when he he has to give up a bunch of stuff. He has to pay for the supplies and gas to get there like when he helped with my uncle's house. Heroes have to sacrifice to help like William does. Selflessness, dedication, and sacrifice stands as only some crucial characteristics of helping as a hero for my grandpa. Like I said he does all of this stuff to help and he, not even close to being done keeps helping. It gets put out as an option to do this but my grandpa does it anyway. Don't you want to be a hero like him everyone should strive for that.
