Justin Gregorich

by Ayah Enany

Justin Gregorich.

Justin Gregorich is a very brave person. Because of Justin, another life was saved. He also represented many characteristics of being a true hero.

Justin Gregorich, 14, isn’t really like all the other boys on his football team. He couldn’t lift weights as much as the others and he kept getting teased about it. On his way home from school feeling discouraged, he saw a man in a car lose control and drive into a pond. Justin then forgot all about his fears and ran to the pond to help Raymond Kane, 82, swim to safety.

This incident happened in Clearwater, Florida. He made a difference because he set an example for other people. Also, he encourages people to be helpful in a way because he saved a person's life when he least expected it.

Justin is a "hero on the spot." A "hero on the spot" is when someone has to think fast to help another person in an unexpected situation. Justin fits in this category because he didn’t know that car was going to go into the pond and he had to make a choice quickly as to whether to save him or not. Also, Justin has many heroic qualities.

Justin said that kids in school still make fun of him, yet he gets so much attention from his family and other friends. "That's life," he said. He also inspired many people. He should be proud of himself for what he did and he should be proud for being a true hero!
