Hameeda Khalid (My Mother)

by Shahida from Karachi

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~Tenneva Jordan
Mothers are the gift of god from heavens. They always live in our heart. Long live my mother!
My mother was born in 1953 at a middle class family of Pakistan. According to her mother, she was quite different from other children, quiet and serious, not naughty at all. She in her childhood was very decent and problem solving. When she got married, her age was 20. Although quite different from her husband, she tried to compromise at every level for the sake of children. She had seven children. I like her as a hero because she is so caring, loving and good in training the children. She is never a very strict but maintained a positive behaviour.
She is able to be admired because she devoted her life and sacrificed her wishes at all levels for her children, tried to provide every benefit which even she did not have in her personal life.
She had many impacts on my life as a hero. For example, I learnt from her how to treat with the different people in variety of the ways I learnt from her the management of the family matters and finally how not to interfere in the matters of others.
She is my  teacher, mother, guide and everything in my life. Long live my mother!
