My mother was brought up in a small village in the industrious tribe of Tuwharetoa, Reporoa, with her mother, Elizabeth Edwards, her father John Nepia and all of her 12 siblings. When she was 11, she and her family moved to Rotorua. She is also an old student from "Western Heights High School".
