Haley Wickenheiser was born August 12, 1978 and is 33 years old. She was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Canada, and lived there for 12 years and then moved to Calgary Alberta. She has a brother named Ross and a sister named Jane. Now that she is older she lives with her boyfriend named Thomas Pacina, and her son Noah. Now she is a national hockey player for Canada in the winter Olympic Games for team Canada. In July 2006 Haley was asked to play in her home town (Shaunavon) when the sportplex was renamed Wickenheiser place.

Haley Wickenheiser is my hero because she is living my ultimate dream of becoming a professional hockey player. In some ways she inspires me to continue in playing the sport I have learned to love for the game. She has developed her hockey skills at a younger ages a little bit like I have in my first couple of years playing hockey

Haley Wickenheiser started playing hockey at the age of 8 years old just like I did. She started playing on a boy team until the age of 13 years old. I played on boys' teams for 3 years. This year I play on an all girl team.

In 1991 in the final game of the under 17 girls' competition in the Canada winter Olympic Games she played for team Alberta and was named most valuable player in a gold medal victory by scoring the winning goal. At the age of 15 in 1994 she became a member of Canada's national women's team and is still a member. Since 1994 Haley Wickenheiser has won a lot of championships in her career which makes her one of Canada's favourite superheroes of all time. Wow! What a dream to be living!
