My hero, Mia Hamm is a fantastic hero. She was an international soccer player who was known worldwide. Oe interesting fact about her is that her full name is Mariel Margaret Hamm! In the report of my hero, I will say why Mia Hamm is my hero. I will write a biography of her life. I will research about her charities. Mia and her foundation helped to save more then 7000 sick persons. I admire Mia Hamm because she was a brilliant soccer player and she helps a lot of people with the diseases of bone marrow. Her charity will give the money to the people that need it.

Mia Hamm was born March the 17, 1972 in Selma, Alabama. She played soccer since she was a child. Mia Somtimes played soccer with girls, but she played it mostly with of boys. Mia Hamm was aggressive when she played soccer because she played it with the boys. She began playing soccer with the U.S. team when she was only 15 years old because she was very athletic and a sportswoman. She became the youngest player to play for the U.S. team. In 1989, Mia Hamm entered the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and when she was there, she helped her team to win four national soccer championships. Mia Hamm and the U.S. soccer team won the World Cup in 1991 and 1999, but she made a name for herself when she won the gold medal at the Olympics in 1996. Mia Hamm broke the all-time international soccer record for goal scoring on the 16th of May in 1999 with 108 goals.

Mia Hamm is my hero because she was a celebrity soccer player, she had a world record, and she has two charitable foundations. The first charity is to support the families and the patients that need bone marrow transplants. The second foundation is to encourage young women to participate in sports. Mia Hamm is more popular than the other players of soccer because when she left, 15,549 fans came to see her depature. She had a lot of tragic events in her life. For example, her brother died in 1997 from a rare bone marrow disease, but something positive came out of this incident because she has founded her first charity for bone marrow illnesses. She saved a lot of people and she helped a lot of girls to obtain their dreams. Mia Hamm is the best of role models.

Mia Hamm exposes a lot of good character traits because she is an individual that has a good attitude. She gives back to her community with her charities. Mia Hamm showed perseverance because she did not abandon her teams when she played soccer. In 1999 Mia Hamm stopped playing soccer and I was very disappointed. She is kind to cancer survivors and her family. Mia Hamm is intellectual because she attended the University of North Carolina, where she had a lot of success. She is compassionate because she is concerned for patients. I like Mia Hamm for my hero because she was a very successful athlete and a big reason for soccer being where it is today.

Mia Hamm is a person who has a lot of respect from girls, the world and me. She overcame a lot of obstacles in her life and she is an admirable person. Mia is my héro because she was the best player in soccer, but she does not act pretentious. She always was a person with team spirit. Her foundations have helped a lot of people. Mia Hamm is a very good person.
