Helen when she was young

My hero's name is Helen Keller. She was born June 27, 1880 at Tumbia, Alabama, United States. After being struck by illness, Helen lost her eye sight and hearing. She started to be really bad and have high tempers because she did not want to be blind and deaf for the rest of her life. Her mom was really worried about Helen because how she is being bad and she does not want her daughter to go to a learning school if she is like that. Helen's mother hired a teacher called Anne Sullivan so that Helen could be home schooled and learn to communicate with others.

Helen Keller's challenges were to go through life being blind and deaf. Helen Keller's hero was Annie Sullivan that taught sign language and taught her how to speak. Her inspirations were her teacher Annie Sullivan and her mother because they taught her things things like sign language and she taught other children.

After Helen Keller was deaf and blind she taught others how to do sign language and she passed it on to other kids or adults that were deaf or blind. Helen had to work hard to communicate with others. When she became older, she worked for the American Foundation for the Blind and raised money for them.

I am inspired by Helen Keller because she worked hard. She was a kind lady and she was concerned for other people.
