Heather

by Chelsie from Roxboro

My hero is my sister in law. Her name is Heather. She was born at UNC Chapel Hill hospital. Even though she was born in Chapel Hill, she grew up in Roxboro most of her life.

I’ve known her for about five years now. I met her when my brother and her first starting dating. At first, I really didn’t like her but after we started talking for a while, I got to know her a lot better and now I can tell her pretty much anything. Over the few years that we’ve known each other, we hang out a lot more also.

Heather has done a lot for me in the past few years. She has helped me change into a better person. She has also helped me make the right decisions. She always tried to get me to be the best person that I can be. These are just a few examples of what she has done for me.

Heather and I have gotten really close ever since we’ve met. She is really honest with me, so I will always be honest to her. Her grandmother treated her greatly which made her the way she is now. Her grandmother taught her how to act while she was growing up. She also taught her to always be respectful to others no matter how mad or depressed you are.

I chose her for this project because she’s always helping me when I have problems or issues in my life. She gives me good advice to stay out of trouble and to do the right thing. She might not always agree with the things that I do, but she shows an effort to help me with my problems. She’s the only one in my family that I can tell anything to without her judging me. She may not like what I’m saying but she always listens to me. I look up to her for all the things she has done in my life.
