Igor Akinfeev was born on 8 April 1986. In the age of four his father brought Igor to the children-youth school of PFC CSKA. The place at the gate Akinfeev took at the second session. The first coach of a young football player became Desiderius Kovacs. In the Junior team CSKA Igor became the best goalkeeper of Russia. In 2002, he stood at the gate of the team at the match against Sweden.
On the 28th of August 2011 during the match against Moscow Spartak, Igor Akinfeev injured his left knee.
After difficult operation in a German hospital, Igor was diagnosed that he would no longer be able to engage in professional football. But thanks to his willpower already in the winter, he started training according to the individual programme. One month later Igor Akinfeev began full trainings in the CSKA club and national team of Russia.
After finishing the football season, they were the second in the championship of Russia. At the end of the next championship Igor Akinfeev is again the best goalkeeper of Russia. I consider him my hero.
