Surfacing and gaining air, he plunged into the cold water and pulled the coil of wire on the bottom of the river. Ivan Budilin is our compatriot. In recent years he lived near our school. Our students often invited him for conversation, where Budilin talked about the difficult war times. When he died, his wife also came to us to the concerts, to parades. And our young volunteers tried to help them around the house. Later our school Museum was opened, there was a special stand with detailed information about Ivan Mikhailovich. Later, the activists and the teachers of history decided to open the monument to Budilin. At its opening the widow of Budilin, representatives of the military brotherhood, veterans and other guests were invited. Still we honor and remember the heroic feat of our hero, Ivan Mikhailovich Budilin. He is our pride and we will follow his example and will tell younger students about it.
