Ivan Kozhedub

For me, the heroes are the people who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of his family, friends, homeland. People who do not build of itself a bold and a brave man, but just make good and courageous deeds for all. The heroes to me are the people who saved our lives long before we were born. These are the heroes of the Soviet Union. Ivan Kozhedub is a pilot of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. I have learned about him recently. He personally shot down 62 enemy aircraft. He had 330 combat sorties and 120 air battles. Kozhedub had never been shot down during the Great Patriotic War, and though it incited, he always planted his plane. Ivan was the three times Hero of the Soviet Union. And during the Korean War, he commanded a Fighter Division. For me he is a hero, because Ivan bravely went into battle, knowing that at any moment could die, and he knew what the risk of exposing themselves was.
