Isaac Newton is my hero. I think he was one of the best scientists of all time. I will tell you why I think this. Isaac Newton was born on Christmas Day on December 1642. He died on March 20, 1727. He was an English physicist, mathematician, astronomer, Natural philosopher, alchemist and philosopher and theologian. He was considered one of the best people in human history. He wrote a book called Naturalis Principia Mathematica, which was published in 1687. It was probably the most scientific book ever written. This book was about all sorts of math such as geometry and calculus. Newton received many awards for this amazing book.
Well in his work he discovered the 3 laws of motion over three centuries. He discovered that the movement on earth has the same natural laws. And his theories on gravity caused a scientific revolution. Sir Isaac Newton built the first telescope, the theory was developed on a colour based prism that produced white light that was produced into magnified glass. This was a amazing discovery for Isaac Newton With this telescope that he created he could see things that were far away up close. By now he was the most famous scientists of all time with all this new information that he discovered he wrote many more books. If Newton did not discover the telescope we might not know what any of the far away planets look like. This is probably one of the most famous dicoveries in scientific history.
In mathematics, Newton shared the credit with Gottfried Leibniz for the development of differential and integral calculus. He also demonstrated the generalised binomial theorem, developed Newton's method for approximating the roots of a function, and contributed to the study of power series. Even though Calculus can be sometimes very hard to understand. Once again Newton has discovered another amazing thing. Calculus is very important. Many things would not make sense without calculus. Newton I think is the greatest scientist and mathematician in history.
Newton was also highly religious. He was an unorthodox Christian, and during his lifetime actually wrote more on Biblical hermeneutics and occult studies than on science and mathematics, the subjects he is mainly associated with Christianity. He spent much of his time praying to God he always prayed before having a meal and if something happened that if something overlapped church, the priority would always be church. In my opinion, he is a hero of science and many things. I think he is one of the most amazing people in history and the world would not be the same without him. A lot of the books about calculus would maybe never even have made. And the telescope may have never been invented.
That’s why Isaac Newton is my hero.
