Allen Iverson

I think that Allen Iverson is a good hero because of his basketball skills and the way he grew up. He was a star athelete in high school. He did very poorly in school.

Allen Iverson had a really hard life, he grew up in the projects. Most of the time his family did without electricity. He was also failing school. He was also a star athelete in high school. He had many siblings and missed tons of school because he always had to baby sit them.

When he was little his mother tought him how to play basketball. She was a big influence on his life. She always tried to help him out. She may be the reason for his success in basketball. She always tried to help get Allen good grades but he was not smart enough. In high school, Allen was the star quarterback. He loved football and anything to do with sports.

When he was younger, Iverson wanted to go to the NFL. He had no clue that he would end up in the NBA or even liking basketball for that matter. He quickly became really good at basketball. And it quickly rated right under football.

Allen started playing basketball every day after football and had really good technique. He had really good speed and great ball control. Allen tried to play every weekend but it was hard with football going on. He had a couple of scholarships lined up and he was worried about not graduating. He had got in trouble one night at the bowling alley and was worried about going to prison. Since those troubled times, Allen has made a good life for himself. He now has a little boy and a teenage daugter. He now has his own line of shoes and plays for the Denver Nuggets. Thanks for listening to my story about Allen Iverson .
