JJ Watt is a football legend. On the field he has broken the record for 20 or more sacks in two seasons. Off the field he is helping kids learn to play sports and get outside. He has donated up to $2,300,000 to 6th-8th grade athletic programs. That tells people that he isn't selfish and is willing to donate his time and money to help children who might not have enough money to join after school sports. That isn't the only thing that JJ is giving up his time for JJ went to Afghanistan to salute the troops and thank them for all that they have done. While he was over there, he and some of the other NFL players played a two-hand touch game of football to help the soldiers get their minds off of being stuck in Afghanistan.

"Success isn't owned it's leased and rent is due every day, every single day someone is coming for your job, someone is coming for your greatness, if you're the greatest someone wants to be the greatest and so if you are not constantly improving your game somebody else is."(JJ Watt) The message is that if you work hard every day you will be the best that you can be.

JJ Watt started his foundation with one thought, to help kids live a good life and be treated fairly. The quote that he chose to represent his foundation was "dream big and work hard". He hasn't ever said no to any of the requests of his fans. One time he saw a little girl crying on youtube because she couldn't marry her favorite Texans player so JJ sent her an email that said that she could be his pretend wife for a day. One day he met three children that lost both of their parents in a car crash, and two of the children were paralyzed from the waist down. In honor of those three children when JJ got his next sack he did the wheelchair celebration. Those are just of the few examples of the things that he has done for his fans.

Today 5 years after the launch of the JJ watt foundation they have donated more than $1,000,000 to kids after school sports programs. JJ says that the ultimate goal for the foundation is an opportunity for kids to be kids and provide characteristics for them to build on for the rest of their lives. The JJ Watt foundation wants kids to dream and dream big, it also wants to show them that anything is possible and that if you put in your time and effort that all of your dreams can come true.

JJ Watt is doing anything to help kids accomplish their goals. Even working around being a pro football player he has done anything he could to make a kids dream come true from doing a celebration in honor of three children that are paralyzed from a car accident to letting a 4 year old girl be his wife for a day JJ won't stop at anything to make his fans happy.
