J.K. Rowling is my hero and Rowling has inspired many people into reading. J.K. Rowling was born on July 31, 1965 and writes under a pen name. Joanne Rowling was used when her first Harry Potter book was published. She prefers to be called Jo. She has one sister called Dianne.

Rowling lives in Edinburgh, Scotland with her daughter Jessica. She had married a Portuguese man but the marriage did not go well. She has lived from 1965-now. Rowling is now 42 years old. Rowling’s books have gained worldwide attention. Rowling has been named the world's thirteenth richest person.

J K Rowling has said she might write another Harry Potter book but the main character might not be Harry himself. Her daughter is persuading her to write it. Rowling herself has inspired me into reading too. I used to read a very thin book for about a week. Now I can read it in less than twenty-four hours. Rowling’s books have inspired me a lot.
