What is a hero? I see a hero as someone who has the mental and/or physical strength that is strong enough, someone you can look up to, and someone who impacts/influences someone else.

I don't think it's important to have a hero. However, I do feel that it's important to acknowledge what makes a hero. If you're ignorant to that you wouldn't be able to inherit those special qualities. The upside to having a hero is that you have someone to look up to. This can give you the motivation to achieve a certain goal.

Someone from my personal life that I believe is a hero would be my brother Jonathan. I chose him because he showed me that anything can happen with effort. Long ago when he was in high school he didn't make the right choices. Some of the things he did was under-aged drinking, using drugs, and not being able to graduate high school because of too much school missed. But now, he is 24 years old, and has gotten his act together. It's very obvious that he has changed and built a lot of character over the years, and has inspired me to be like the new him.

I think that my brother Jonathan should be inducted into a hero hall of fame because of his great effort to become a better person. He was once someone who made bad choices, some being life-changing. Since he's improved a ton, he's become a much better and more likable person. In fact, he's improved so much that I'm able to proudly say that I want to be just like him. Along with that his perseverance and dedication to build character has inspired me to think that everything is possible if you give the effort needed. Jonathan is a true hero.

These are 10 questions I asked my brother that are related to heroism and his answers to them:

- I would define a hero as someone you can look up to that makes a difference to others, and does the thing that others wouldn't.
