Jose Barrios

My hero is my father Jose Barrios. He is my hero because he is a good man and I look up to him. I look up to him because he is smart, brave and a good man. He is my hero because he is there for me, helps me, and teaches me how to do the things I want to learn. He is always there for me in soccer and school. He will always be there for me wrong and right. That’s why he is my hero brave, smart, and good man always there when we need him.

My father Jose Barrios was born in El Salvador. He is a brave man because he fixes houses any kind of roof work, dry wall, and cement. He will do any kind. He is a smart guy, he could talk pretty good in English and he knows how to do math maybe better than me. He is a good man too, he is always there if we need something. He will buy it if he could buy it, and especially school materials he will buy it for me. He works really hard so he could buy things we need, rent, and food for our table.

I chose my dad as my hero because he is always helping me and telling me what I do wrong or right. My dad is those kind of persons that tell you the things straight up. He is always telling me what I do wrong in soccer, school, and he always tells me, “I want you to be better than me and your brother”. He is a person that likes to help people like give them money when they need some, helped them when they are in trouble, and he gives rides to my friends when they need a ride from playing soccer. He is a good man. He was a gang member before but he turned Christian.

My father is always teaching me how to be a good man, a brave one too, and to do things in a smart way. He teaches me how to be brave by not being scared, shy or anything of that and when I go to work with him. He teaches me how to do things in a right way and to think twice before I do something dumb. He wants me to be a good man, a father and to not be like he was once when he was part of a gang.

My hero is my dad. Jose Barrios is a good dad. He is my hero because he is a hard worker, good man, and a smart guy. Jose my dad is always there for me for the good things and bad things. He is a good guy because he helps my family in need or other families. That’s why I pick my dad as my hero because he is a hero for me.
