Judy Blume

by Erica J from Pennsylvania

“Let children read whatever they want and then talk about it with them. If parents and kids can talk together, we won't have as much censorship because we won't have as much fear.”

In honor of Judy Blume, I did research about this hero in “Biography Today.” I chose Judy Blume because she is one of my favorite authors. After the research, I was glad I learned so much about her.

Who knew such a normal person could give the world such a hero? Judy was born on February 12, 1938. She was born at Elizabeth, New Jersey. Her parents are Rudolph and Esther Sussman.

The foundation of heroism is education. Judy attended Elizabeth until 3rd Grade Then she went to Miami for a few years. Judy went to college at Boston University, switched to New York University for a bachelor's degree in early Childhood Education in 1960.

Hard work contributes to heroism. Judy Blume worked hard all though her life and overall she wrote over 17 books. She is most famous for writing “Are you there God? It’s me, Margaret.”

Judy Blume is important to mankind and changed the world. She wrote many books. She is still alive, and happily married. When she was little she liked to read. This is why she is so important to mankind.
