To me, a hero is a person who risks his life and health to make his way to the top. They don't start out the most popular person in the world, but they become known. They aren't just talented in one genre, they have many talents. My hero has at least four talents. He is talented in wrestling, art, music, and motocross. He risks his life every time he gets in the ring, and on the track. That is why my hero is Jeff Hardy.

The Hardy Boyz (http://myweb.stedwards.edu/rtrejo3/TheHardyBoyz-1.jpg) |
Jeff Hardy is mostly known for his time in the World Wrestling Federation, now now as World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE. He began wrestling when he was 16 as a jobber. A jobber is a person who loses most of their matches to make their opponents look stronger. After his work as a jobber, he began his career in the WWE on his own. His brother, Matt, began in the WWE at around the same time. They were known as the tag team of The Hardy Boys. They were the perfect tag team. But good things don't last.

The brothers had a falling out in which they left the Hardy Boys for solo careers. Jeff began his solo career in WWE's Raw while Matt began his solo career in WWE's SmackDown!. During Jeff's solo career, Hardy took on the Undertaker, came up short, but earned the Undertaker's respect. He was then released from the WWE and started up a career as Willow the Wisp, his alter ego, at an OMEGA show. He then took a year off of wrestling to focus on his motocross racing. He then debuted on TNA, or Total Nonstop Action. Hardy was scheduled to wrestle on the pre-show of Turning Point in December of 2005, but no showed the event blaming traveling difficulties. Because of the no show, he was dropped from TNA. In August of 2006 the WWE announced that Jeff Hardy had resigned with the company.

Jeff Hardy VS CM Punk (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/227372-the-wwe-and-their-misuse-of-the-swerve) |
On the day of his return, Hardy earned the WWE Championship title, defeating Edge by a disqualification. In between his times feuding with Umaga to retain the Intercontinental Championship, Hardy was kicked off of the WWE programming. He returned on the August 27th airing of the show defeating Mr. Kennedy. Hardy began an on and off tag team with Triple H, eventually turning into a feud between the two. Hardy became the number one contender at Armageddon. Eventually Hardy lost a match against CM Punk, which had a bet that the contender who lost the match would be kicked off. He was not necessarily kicked off, but left the show to heal his injuries.

Jeff and some paintings (http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/3883682/8461472) |
Hardy has other talents that include painting and motocross. He painted the main picture for Armageddon and is best known for his unusually painted faces. He has a motocross track in his back yard. He is my hero because he is fearless. He has done a swanton bomb from about fifty feet in the air with no nets or cushions on the ground. He has, in my opinion, amazing paintings and is very good at what he does. If I could meet him, it would be the highlight of my life. I saw him in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2009 with my dad. It was the day that I truly became a Jeff Hardy fan. Jeff Hardy is my hero and I am not afraid to say it.
