Jerome Horowitz

by Collin from Glenbrook Middle School

“No! I’m too young to die. Too young and too handsome! [Curly looks in the mirror] Well, I’m too young.” – Curly Howard

My hero is Jerome Horowitz. I chose him because he was a famous comedian and took care of stray dogs until he found them a home. Jerome is funny, kind, charitable, smart, and humble, because he was famous and did not brag about his fame.

He is a hero because he would rescue stray dogs. Jerome’s brothers Shemp and Moe inspired him. His stage name was Curly Howard.

He affected my life by making me laugh whenever I felt sad. I always watched the Three Stooges. They inspired Mel Gibson to make a TV series about their life. Curly made people feel better during World War 2.

Overall, Jerome was one funny, charitable, and great man. This is my hero.
