We all have a hero in mind, but our definitions of hero are not the same, to me, hero is a person, or a group of people that everyone looks up to. They are often an important role in someone's life. Everyone could be a hero, they don't have to be famous or have super power, they could just be a regular person and live a regular life. But at the same time, they are being a hero in their own way, doing what they could to help other people. Also, hero doesn't have to do something that's known to the world or sacrifice a lot, they can just do their best.

It's important for everyone to have a hero in mind, or maybe just someone you respect a lot or look up to. Sometimes, hero doesn't have to be a person that you see everyday, or your closest family member, they could just be someone that gave you some help or even an ideal person you have in mind, that you want to be one day.
My mom is definitely my hero, she is the one person in my life I look up to all the time. She carried me to America single-handed, and I couldn't even be where I am right now without her. My mom has all the hero qualities that all other heroes have. She is nice, responsible, and also doing the best she could do to create a family in this foreign country.
I think my mom deserve to be in the hall of fame of "Most Independent Woman". My parents were divorced when I was little, and my mom has been taking care of me ever since. When I was fifth grade, she made a decision to come to America as a student, then find a job and get me here. She started preparing right away. After a long time of hard work, my mom came to America in 2008 and went to college. It was very hard for people who are living in China for the whole life, to give up everything they have, and come to a foreign country. But my mom did it. She got her masters degree in one year, then find a job. After one more year, I came to America. You would think the story ends here, but no. As a single mom, she needs to take all the responsibility for taking care of me. She has a full time job, has to take care of the family, and on weekends she always thinks about places to go out. Seems like the job as a mom never ends, but my mom pulled it off.
To my mom, hero is someone that is always there, and can do everything they can. Her personal hero is my grandma, who is the nicest woman she knows, my grandma always does things that are too nice, she worries about things that's small, but is the best out of her heart. I think it is the same as my mom, she came to America for her future and my future, because of the culture differences, it's very hard for me to fit in this country, but it's even harder for her, but she never regrets the decision ever since. She always wants me to be positive, a strong person and happy. I respect my mom because she is doing everything she can for this family, and she gave me everything I have.
