Warum ich Jack Johnson gewahit habe?


Jack Johnson ist für mich eine Art Vorbild, da er nicht wie Jeder andere Star ist. Jack Johnson ist jemand der nicht nur nimmt, sondern auch zurückgibt. Ein Beispiel dafür ist die " Kokua Hawaii Fundation " für die er regelmäßig spenden sammelt und mit seiner Frau zusammen unterstützt. Ich habe Jack Johnson nicht direkt als Helden gewählt, sondern mehr als eine Art Vorbild. Vor einigen Jahren war das erste Mal das ich Jack Johnson auftreten gesehen habe, und es war für mich unglaublich. Ich mochte den style, die Stimmung und das er dies alles nur mit seiner Stimme und einer Gitarre schaffte. Und dies war ein großer Teil meiner Überzeugung dass ich Gitarren spielen lernte und bis heute nicht aufgehört habe. Wenn ich Situationen habe wo ich nicht so sauer bin, dass ich was zerstören könnte gehe ich in mein Zimmer und spiele meistens eins meiner Lieblings Lieder um wieder runter zu kommen.

Why have I chosen Jack Johnson?


Jack Johnson is for me a person I would like to be like because he is not like all the other Stars. Johnson is, although he got Famous, somebody I would call "Normal". He is not a person who just takes, he also gives. An example for that is the "Kokua Hawaii Foundation" which he and his wife support with concerts or other things. I wouldn't say he is a Hero for me, I would say he is for me a person I would like to be like. The first time I saw him is a view years ago and it was amazing, awesome, ... . I was so impressed what a nice mood he made just with a Guitar and his Voice. And this concert I saw was the reason why I learned how to play the Guitar and still learn. And sometimes I have situations I don´t know what I should do, because I am so angry, then I go into my room and play my favorite songs and that makes me happy.

Environment:
Jack Johnson uses that he is a famous musician for our world and for the people who need help (for example in Africa). He takes the money from his concerts to support companies which are helping people who need help so that they could have a better life or to have water and food. But he also supports companies which are doing good things for our earth. He mostly supports a company in Hawaii which makes the environment on Hawaii better.

Background:


 Jack Johnson was born on the 18 May 1975 at Oahu in Hawaii. At five years Jack Johnson learned how to surf and at seventeen years he was the youngest surfer in the final of the "Pipe Trail" (Pipe Trail is a surf event which is known around the world. At the graduation of high school he already had a "professional contract" with the company Quicksilver. Jack Johnson graduated 1993 from the Kahuku High School at the north coast of Oahu (Hawaii). In the first years after school, fun and surfing were the main things in the life of Jack Johnson. After many surf events and years of fun and surfing, Jack Johnson had to made a bigger break of surfing because of an injury. In this time of his life Jack Johnson played very much Guitar. As a 14 year old child Jack Johnson did already played the Guitar in a small band together with his friends but as he said in an interview that this music was a kind of Punkrock and the music he and his friends played was horrible because they never learned how to play their instruments right. After this longer time without surfing Jack Johnson decided to leave his career as a professional surfer behind. Jack Johnson is vegetarian and a big Environmentalist. He studied as a movie student at the University of California in Santa Barbara. Jack Johnson worked at the surf movies September Sessions, Thicker Than Water, A Brokedown Melody and Sprout which came out under the company called "The Moonshine Conspiracy". The company changed the name 2004 to "Woodshed Films". Jack Johnson is a friend of the professional surfers Kelly Slater, Rob Machado and Donavon Frankenreiter.

 The first steps as a musician Jack Johnson made as a 14 year old kid with some friends in a small band and just for fun. At this time the music was for Jack Johnson just a hobby. During his time as a movie maker the videos needed music for the background. But they did not want to pay for the music and because of that Jack Johnson produced the music for the movies. Other persons liked the music Jack Johnson made and "Garrett Dutton" a musician put one of Jack Johnson's songs in his album "Philadelphonic". Jack Johnson got slowly more and more famous and in the year 2001 the debut album "Brushfire Fairytales" by Jack Johnson came out. Because of his success, Jack Johnson was able to build his own music studio which was called "The Mango Tree" and he founded his own Record Label called "Brushfire Records". Since 2002 Jack Johnson wrote 4 more Albums. With his song "Flake" Jack Johnson was in the US- Charts 2002. In an Interview at the "Surfers, the European soul magazine" Jack Johnson said that he played Punkrock before his time as a musician and still sometimes listens to Punkrock. He said that he can´t decide between Punkrock and Bob Marley.
