John F. Kennedy was a man of great admirable qualities. We all know him as a great president, but he also served in the U.S. military during WWII. He saved many people’s lives from being a PT boat captain. He was brave, he showed great honor, and was kind and selflessness to the people he met while in the military. John was an amazing lifesaver.

John F. Kennedy is best known for being the president of the U.S. but he had also served in WWII as a naval officer. He was the captain of a PT boat. With the boat he went to islands to save people in the military from things like bullets, bombs, and other weapons that might have killed them. On one of his trips, his boat was sunk. A wounded man who was on the boat almost drowned. John used his teeth to pull him back to shore 3 miles away.

John was very skilled with the boat before it sank. This was found very good for him so they gave him another job for use with the boat. He now would do his usual job but also he would transport goods to war grounds and bases. A lot of the men that John knew were amazed and impressed because he saved his men’s lives. He was even awarded a special medal for his actions and bravery.

It impacts my life because it was amazing to learn such valuable information about how he would risk his own life to save the lives of his fellow soldiers. If there were more people like him the world would be such a better place than it is today. A lot of people would care for each other and there might not have been as many wars as there were. Many people would not be dead.

His heroic actions affect the qualities I value because I think it is wonderful that he saved people’s lives. He was brave by risking his life to save others and I am brave by doing many daring things. He was kind and selfless because he helped a lot of men who were in danger. I am both of those things because I am a really nice guy to everyone. John F. Kennedy was a great man who saved many people from dying. Maybe someone will do what he did and have the same amazing heroic qualities that John Had.
