My hero is a very heroic man. His is very close to me in my life. His name is John Kozak and he is my grandfather. He is my hero because whenever I need someone I can look up to and ask for advice, he is always there. He is very wise and quotes many great legends. He has always worked hard in life and has never given up anytime along the way.
My hero was born on June 25th. He was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He was an only child. His was born from Catherine and Joseph Kozak. He grew up during the Great Depression so money was always tight. You can tell that affected him today because he believes that saving money is important. He was married in 1956 to Doris Laskey. They lived happily together until she passed away in 2005. He has had two kids named Karen and Michael. His kids have had many grandchildren; Karen has had two kids named Justin and Nicole. Michael has had one child, Christopher, and taken in two older kids as their stepfather. My Mother has also inherited two older kids, Ricky and Tory.
My hero has done a lot of great things in his long life. In the 1940’s he entered the Navy. He was on duty when World War II started and he served his country until the war was over in 1945. He also served his Country by joining the State Police. He is special because he is 82 years old and still as happy as a little kid who has just gotten his first toy. He has always been respectable since he was a child and he hasn’t lost any of that quality.
This person has always inspired me since I was a child. He always is at my All-Star games and saw me hit my first homerun, and he has wanted to see that since I started playing baseball. I definitely hit that ball out so I could see his face as I rounded third base. Without his baseball teachings I probably wouldn’t have ever started to play.
This person is so admirable because he has never taken the easy way out in life. He has always worked hard for his money and his reputation. He deserves everything he has made in his lifetime. He has made a giant difference in my life.
My grandfather chose a very hard path in life, but it was definitely the best choice he could have made. If I can even get close to following in his footsteps, I will live a better life than I could ever dream of. My hero gives me the willpower to always keep trying and never give up even in the roughest situation. I will not ever lose faith in my hero and will always do everything that I can to see his boyish smile. John Kozak is my hero and he will always, ALWAYS be my hero.
