John Lennon: The Great British Songwriter and Singer
Lennon was an amazing artist and musician most famously known for his role as the lead singer in The Beatles. He was an interesting person and did and experienced things that you would not imagine that he did. He inspired a lot of people and helped a lot of people through hardship. After leaving The Beatles he went off on his own and continued on his own path of music. He was a big supporter of peace, and even though he had a rough childhood he did not let that affect him later in life and accomplished something great.
John Lennon's Difficult Childhood
Like everyone before and after him John didn't have the perfect childhood, but it was different than many others' childhood. John lost his mother at an early age while she was going to visit John one evening when she was suddenly struck by a car driven by an off duty police officer. John didn't take kindly to this and it caused him to change his attitude at school. After losing his mother, John started to get into trouble at school and he pulled a lot of pranks. He did however have an interest in art. He started to draw grotesque figures and cripples.

John Lennon's Inspiration to Start a Band
John Lennon's inspiration to start a band came from different things. His mother taught him how to play a couple instruments like the banjo, but his main inspiration came from Elvis Presley's entrance into rock, which caused John to make a skiffle band named the Quarry Men. Later on Buddy Holly's band The Crickets inspired John to change the name of the band to The Beatles. The Beatles then went on to create many albums and singles and became a world sensation.
John was a Good Philosopher and Loved Peace
John Lennon had many quotes that showed his love for peace and showed that he was a good philosopher. One of my favorite quotes from him which shows this is " Declare it-just the same way that you declare war. That is the way we will have peace...we just need to declare it." this really shows his love of peace. Another thing that shows his love of peace is his famous song "Imagine". He also had good philosophy. His famous quote "Life is what happens when you make other plans" shows this.
In conclusion, John Lennon was a really great person even though he lost his mother at an early age and was a prankster at school. Later on when he was inspired he created a band that was a sensation around the world, and spread around good philosophy which inspired others to try to achieve peace around the world.
