My Dad and I after attending The Colorado Veteran |
My greatest hero is my reliable person. He is one of my best friends. My hero is my dad. My dad is my hero because of his humor perseverance, humility, determination, and open mind. His strong will has succeeded to catch my heart and my mind. I admire how he always stands tall even when the winds are rolling in.
My hero is James W. Lockard, also known as my dad. He lives in Centennial, Colorado, with a wife and two wonderful kids. He was born in Arizona but moved all around the world after joining the military.
My dad has made an impression in my life because of all the heroic actions he has achieved. He shows that he cares about people and shows his affection for mankind. Believing in himself and in his actions, he has made an easier and better living for some, including me. He has helped out in the assisted living area as well as veterans. He has volunteered at community events as well as local charity functions. He always has an open mind and has a determined character. He is strong mentally and physically. The things he has experienced are wonderful but can be horrible in other memories. But nonetheless his ability to get through life is amazing.
My dad is a survivor hero as explained in T.A Barron's book the Hero's Trail. T.A Barron explains a survivor hero as a person who has the will to make it through tough situations. They have the ability to adapt to their surroundings, and current situations. For example, my dad owns his own business and when the economy changes so does the way he runs his business. My dad started his own business during the recession and still survives.
My dad has the qualities of a true hero. He has the heart of a true hero. The person I love. The man who has made a difference. My hero. My dad.
