A hero is a great, helpful, respectful person. That no matter what happens they will do anything for you. My hero is Jonah Lomu (The best rugby player of all time). Jonah grew up in the poorer parts of south Auckland with 4 supporting siblings and 2 encouraging parents. At the age of 19 he played his first official All Blacks test. He was the youngest All black to ever play an official test. Sadly Jonah died on the 18th November 2015 with a kidney failure. He had 2 sons and a loving wife. Jonah was filled with strength, courage and care that he showed every day.

As each and every rugby player, he had strength which was a key thing in the rugby life. When Jonah was diagnosed with kidney failure, he didn't let that get the best of him. He pushed through the hard life of having the disease by playing rugby and giving it all of his strength every single game.

Jonah had the courage to jump back on the crazy, dangerous rugby field, but nothing would hold him back from making his dreams. The encouraging father supported his sons in no matter what sport, also by not judging them. The sons sharing the same passion by loving rugby, just like their dad. Courage supported him with everything, especially the kidney failure.

Also by fundraising a lot of money, to go towards the poor foundation. He shows a lot of care no matter who it goes to as long as it goes to someone in need. Care is a big key feature in Jonah's life. He cared about his whanau (family), his sons and wife, sport and he especially cared about the poor.

Jonah Lomu had kidney failure but that didn't stop him. So whenever something goes wrong with you, just keep pushing through it because you won't go anywhere if you don't try. He was a loved, supported, cared for father/son, and everyone in the crowd at the stadium screaming his name loved him too. Jonah again is my hero because he had strength to push through anything, courage to put himself in the hard, dangerous parts of life, he also cared for everyone in the world. That is why Jonah Lomu is my hero.
