Jennifer Lopez

by Jessica from Barrie

“Beauty is only skin deep, I think what’s really important is finding a balance of mind and sprit.”

Jennifer Lynn Lopez is an on the floor dancer and singer. Once she hits the stage she has her mind set to character. There she was a new born popstar, born July, 24, 1996 in Bronx New York, U.S. J.Lo is a nickname that her dad came up with when she was younger. Once her Dad came up with the name she started to tell her friends to call her J.Lo.

Jennifer has had her mother Guadalupe, her father David, and her two sisters Leslie and Linda to support her throughout her career. Jennifer Lopez has always enjoyed singing and dancing, she started lessons at the age of 5. When Jennifer was in grade three she was in a play that she loved and after that, that’s when she found that acting is another thing she is great at.

She started her first movie in 1997 for the lead role as a girl named Selena. Once her movie was released Jennifer wanted to be in more movies and by 1998 she began singing world wide and has been in three movies by then. Jennifer released her first song in 1999, if you had my love.

Jennifer has many obstacles and achievements she has achieved, such as having two beautiful kids of her own and another goal that she achieved is winning the Golden Globe. She has only one more obstacle she wants to accomplish which is having the ability to beat her goals. Jennifer has still got goals to beat and she hopes to overcome them. J.Lo has won eight awards and has been nominated twenty-five times, but she still has more awards to win.

In the future Jennifer hopes that her kids will follow in her shadow and become famous, working in the acting business with her. She wants to be in more movies, but other than that Jennifer says she’s doing fine in life and loving her career.

Jennifer Lopez is my hero because she inspires me by what she does, she is great at singing, dancing and acting. One day I hope to grow up and follow my dreams, just like Jennifer did. I follow Jennifer for her career and by her dance moves she does and actions.

“Until you're twenty-five you have the face you were born with and after that you have the face you deserve.” - Jennifer Lopez
