"Knowledge and motivation are the only tools needed to bring with you to the barn."- Josh Lyons A well-known horse trainer and legacy of really understanding horses as he leads them around the training rig not only "breaking" them but bonding with them. I first came upon the name Josh Lyons in the beginning of my freshman year of high school looking for possible trainers I could study under. What attracted me to him the most was his certain way he trained the horses and was gentle with them just like how I wanted to be like with horses and not need harsh tools to train them. My career goal is to something similar to him with horse training but building my methods in my own way.

"In the February 11, 2014 story article, 'more about Josh Lyons,' on the www.joshlyons.com website, the writer states that Josh has 'confident' and 'knowledgeable' traits throughout his life from his father when on the road traveling and doing clinics, that made his profession better when he was older to find better ways than harsh training of horses. Josh never really went to college as he grew because he was always traveling with his father as he realized slowly that he wanted to train horses. Nowadays Josh Lyons is about in his fifties, still traveling a bit and doing clinics and has two grown up children by the name of Austin and Johnny.

The horsemanship and Josh Lyons' website reported on an unknown date that Josh Lyons is widely known as the 'world's best horse trainer'. Josh Lyons greatly helps the communities he visits as he travels by informing people of new ways to train or calm their horses and he also lets students/kids participate in the clinics inspiring them and warning them about some horse behavior.

My High school goals on my path of striving to become a professional horse trainer would be to keep my grades at about a B average and definitely take the Capo Valley veterinary ROP class course, even though it will be challenging. I'm determined to get to my goal with as much knowledge that I can get. I'm not exactly certain that I want to go to a specific college cause most trainers are apprentices/students of pro trainers and learn from them then go off on their own, but if I could choose a college I would go to the Lamar Community College and complete the courses of Associate of Applied Science in Horse Training & Management, Barrel Horse Training and Advanced Horsemanship Certificate classes. My lifetime goals would to be a professional horse trainer that a lot of people would know and love for me to train their horses, just like Josh Lyons "the world's best horse trainer" that everyone knows!
