"I don't have a weapon in my hand, and I don't have a uniform on my body, but my uniform now is my scars and weapon is my words, so I'm still serving" (J.R. Martinez). J.R. Martinez is an author, actor, and inspirational speaker who is spreading his hope, as well as his inspiration in a special way. Inspiration and hope is a big part of J.R. Martinez. It is his living today. The way he does things in life is definitely special compared to other famous persons. J.R. shows a different kind of passion that most famous people don't care about. But who is this guy really? J.R. Martinez (Jose Rene Martinez) was born on June 14, 1983, in Louisiana. He was the son of Maria Zavala, a native of El Salvador. She moved to the United States in 1982 to escape civil war. Jose Rene Martinez was trained as an 11-B infantryman. He was assigned to the 2nd battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, of the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in January of 2003. In March 2003, Martinez got deployed in Iraq after military training. On April 5, 2003, he was driving a humvee when the left front tire hit a roadside landmine. Martinez was trapped in the car trying to survive while the other soldiers were ejected out of the car on the explosion. He was sent to 3 different hospitals to treat his burned body. He then later in life became a huge success in a lot of different areas. He is a hero who possesses inspiration and hope. It is important for a hero to spread his or her word and actions to others. Inspiration is the ability to help, and inspire others to do the same, or overcome obstacles in life. Otherwise, hope which is the mentality to both look from your own and others perspective, then help and believe in that certain person or situation. Jose Rene became a famous actor, author, and inspirational speaker after such a tragedy. However, it's his hope, and inspiration during his hospital time that makes him a real hero.
Hope, a certain trait for a hero that is really special. A hero's hope for the things they're doing is the mentality for a right hero. J.R. Martinez is a person who shows a lot of hope in his lifetime. After the devastating situation in Iraq, J.R. Martinez was sent to 3 different hospitals. While at Brooke Army Medical Center, Martinez showed a lot of hope for others. He realized he had a big talent, and most important he found out that, "Helping others also helped him. While at the Brooke Army Medical Center, a nurse asked Martinez to speak to a burn patient who was not handling the extent of his injuries very well. Martinez helped the patient open up and face his life. Martinez saw that he had a positive impact on the patient and began helping other patients by sharing stories and listening to their problems." ("J.R. Martinez"). Martinez's hope in both himself and people around him is a special thing. This inspires and gives me hope in the thought of that there actually is life changing people out there. His hope, and thought in others is something most people can't do. Although he has such a hard time, then he still manages to have such empathy for people. It is what makes him really special. After Martinez's recovery time his career started. He had hope in his actions in life. His hope spread so much, so he started telling his story at different places. He began to love speaking in front of people and helping them out. "He has spoken to troops at various bases around the world, as well as to such groups as the Clinton Global Initiative, the Red Cross, and dozens of universities, non-profits, and Fortune 500 companies. His story is unique, but his message is universal: your path in life is decided by your own ability to Adapt & Overcome." (SquareBreaker). His hope in others and in himself can only inspire and show what a real hero trait is. Just by having the mindset to do all that stuff is something most veterans couldn't do. His mentality for his recovery time is a special kind of hope that most people should learn and adapt from. Although people have a negative impact, then there still is different people who looks at life from another perspective.
Inspiration is a must-have criteria as a hero. A hero is supposed to inspire people's everyday. J.R. Martinez inspired me to be able to overcome every obstacle. His inspiration did not only affect me but also people around the world. Although it started early after his injury, then he still managed to keep the inspiration going. He is inspiring through the thing he does. He had no experience in acting but it was something he wanted to do, so he tried it out and he wouldn't give up. "In 2008, Martinez's career took a new turn when he was cast as Brot Monroe on the long-running soap opera All My Children. The show had an open casting call for a veteran to take on what was originally scheduled to be a short-term role around Veteran's Day. Though he had no acting experience, Martinez impressed producers, landed the part, and learned on the fly." ("J. R. Martinez"). Martinez made a big turn from a harsh condition. This is an inspiration for both people who have been in a hard situation or someone overcoming the weekdays. What he showed others is something I will remember. What he could do to manipulate people's mindset on things is inspiring. He is able to change everybody's perspective on life. Martinez's inspiration in going from a badly injured veteran to be able to speak and help people all over the world is really something strong. "J.R. Martinez is an American speaker, actor, and retired soldier. He was severely injured while serving in the U.S. Army in Iraq. Despite his injuries, Martinez stayed positive. He decided to make a living passing on his optimism to others." ("J. R. Martinez"). All the pain and loss he went through didn't have a single effect on his dream, he kept fighting which is a real inspiration. His optimism in his life is special. J.R. Martinez showed that even though your life isn't going well, then there still is some positivity to find. That inspiration is a real hero trait. J.R. Martinez was both hopeful, and inspirational. His life is a portrait of hope and inspiration for others to look and learn from. Because J.R. Martinez is changing lives, for people both people who feel really bad and people who just need inspiration in the weekdays.
A hero's act is what makes them a hero. Martinez fought for his dream and life and ended up as a powerful inspiration and hope for the whole world. J.R. Is a hero because of his actions and thoughts during his injury. Hope and inspiration are a big need for a hero trait. Martinez shows them both. Inspiration should be the ability to do something right, and make people do it or get the feeling for the idea. It is important for a hero to have that message, and deliver it through inspiration and actions. Hope is a power to do things. If you don't have hope or belief in what you're doing, then there isn't going to be any good output. Martinez shows hope in all his actions and things he is doing which makes him really unique. Martinez brought a lot of hope and inspiration to the world. After doing something most people will see as impossible, was only an action from a hero. Martinez's inspiration is something unique. The inspiration he makes for both small groups, and thousands of people is a thing most people would be able to do. That is why Martinez's hope and inspiration is a real hero trait. But why is Martinez so special to me and the world? He inspires my and a lot of other people's weekday to overcome those small obstacles in life. He is even an inspiration for people who have really big problems and try to overcome them. His hope and inspiration for everybody is very special, not something you see every day. That is why J.R. Martinez is my hero.
