Justin Moore is an upcoming country artist. He has his first album out with 10 great songs. They are about how he lives and what he has done. He sings old- style country and southern rock. Most people can relate to the stories in his songs.

Justin was born in Poyen, Arkansas. He spent a lot time with both sets of grandparents. With one set, he worked on the cattle farm. His other grandpa taught him how to hunt and fish. He was a star athlete in high school, but he loved music.

He was in a small band during high school and moved to Nashville to pursue his dream. Out of the 10 songs on his debut album, he wrote 9 of them by himself. His song "Grandpa" was written shortly before he learned that his grandpa had cancer. He played the song at the Grand Ole' Oprey as a tribute to him. His biggest hits include "Small Town USA" and "Backwoods".

Before he had an album and a recording contract, he opened for other artists at concert tours. I saw him perform before a Hank Williams Jr. and Lynyrd Skynard concert and I loved his music. I had never heard of him before that concert but shortly after, his album was released. The lyrics of his songs are meaningful and I can easily relate to them. His song "How I Got to Be This Way" tells the story of how he grew up and became who he is.

His music is what I think country music is about. I hope that he keeps releasing more music. He is my favorite artist, and I would love to write songs like his. The music speaks to me, and I can make connections to the lyrics. Justin Moore is my hero.
