There are many things that make a hero. To me a hero is a genuinely good person. A hero must always think of others first because without this trait a hero does not do any good. A hero also has to be humble. He shouldn’t help somebody just for the attention. My hero is my dad.
My dad is my hero because he is always there for me when i need him. If i ever need to ask for help on anything or i wasn't comfortable somewhere, he would go get me in a heartbeat. He never lets me down. He is also my hero because he is a very hard worker. He goes out to work every day for about 10 hours and then comes home and still always asks me if i need help on homework or if i finished it all. I probably don't thank him enough for all the things he does for me but i try.
My dad is also still alive. He lives at home with my mom, brother, me, and 1 dog...lol.
My dad is important to me because without him i don't no where i would be right now. He is the one who teaches me how to be responsible and respectful to everyone. Whenever i tell him i can't stand someone or i'm mad at something he always likes to hear me out. He helps me on anything i need help with. For example, homework, chores :], and anything else i need help on. And the most important one is that he loves me to death.
In conclusion a hero is an overall leader and a genuinely caring person. Heroes are driven by helping others without expecting a reward. They are very courageous and have total disregard for their own safety. That is why I chose my dad to be my hero. He does not just think of himself all the time. He is always trying to give a helping hand to anyone he can. So all this goes to show you that there are many types of heroes and they all affect people in different ways.
