One of the many acclaimed novels of John Pendergast is the non-fiction novel The Enough Moment that he co-wrote in company of the actor Don Cheadle. This novel relates to the Enough/Kony Project that Mr. Pendergast has been co-founder for since 2007. The novel narrarates the treacherous accounts of terror kids in Uganda and regions of Sudan have faced. These children face these problems because of Kony. He is the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), an army made of kids that participate in violent acts for no real purpose. Children in regions of Sudan, Uganda and other country's of Africa are in fear each night wondering if this will be the night that Kony kidnaps them. When Kony kidnaps a child he forces them to kill their parents and, if male, makes them participate in his army or, if female, become a sex slave for the members of his army. John Pendergast's novel The Enough Moment details and tells us about the efforts they and the "Upstanders" have made to end it. In the novel, "The Upstanders" refer to the celebrities and activists who participated in the end of Kony's various forms of child abuse. The novel refers to accounts of him and his team's efforts to end genocide, sexual violence, and the soldierdom of young children in Africa.

John Pendergast is a hero of faith for me. He inspires me to do good for the world and his beliefs encourage me to believe that I can have an influence in the world. Mr. Pendergast helps those that need the most and doesn't want anything in return. He inspires me and others to do something that could help others. John Pendergast is courageous for taking action in world affairs that can be very dangerous. He just remembers that in the end, everything was worth while.
