Wow what a great author! My hero is one of my favorite authors, J.K. Rowling. Her name is really Joanne Kathleen Rowling, but we all know her as J.K. Rowling. In loving honor of J.K. Rowling I did all of my research on her in a book called “Biography Today”.
She was born on July 31, 1965 in Chipping Sodbury, which is a small town in South Gloucestershire, England. Her father’s name is Peter. Her mother’s name is Anne. Both of her parents met each other on a train. Rowling has had two husbands and one of them she is still married to and is living with right now. She has three kids; one is a boy and two are girls. Her son's name is David and her girls' names are Jessica and Mackenzie. When Rowling was 15 years old her mother had become sick and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. On December 30, 1990 her mother had passed away.

Rowling’s first school was in Winterbourne but she moved to Tutshill. In her new school she took a test on fractions and got all of the questions wrong. The next school that she went to was the Wyedean Comprehensive School in Chepstow. The college that she attended was the University of Exeter in southern England. She actually went there to study English literature but took her parents advise and went to really study French instead.
After college she kept writing two novels. She worked on a group of different jobs in London, England. The longest job that she held was a job at the international human rights organization Amnesty International. In meetings she would always be to busy to pay attention because she would always be making notes of her story ideas.
