We all have different heroes, people that are special to us in different ways and for different reasons. I have a hero just like every one else on this bizarre planet of ours. That one special person is Jon Schmidt. Jon Schmidt is exciting, humorous, peaceful, calm, creative, and so many more things I can’t even count. These are all traits of a hero.
Once when I lived in Utah, I saw one of his many concerts. He would be under the piano, upside down and play very complex songs with his hands crossed. Also, he would put on wigs and all sorts of funny things while he would play hysterical songs and sing along.
This amazing pianist and composer has written many different piano songs all of which I know I like. Right now I am learning one of his pieces called “Waterfall." Whenever I play it, I feel peaceful. I love playing all the complex sections that sound so good.
Whenever I hear my brother playing one of Jon Schmidt’s songs, I feel like I could fall asleep because the songs are so soothing. The different notes seem to slither from one to the next. Then the dynamics make the piano piece very exciting as the song gets really soft and then bursts out in loud, beautiful music. That's what makes me sleepy and you can probably believe it.
Jon Schmidt wrote many songs, only a few of which I know. They are “Waterfall", "Tribute", "To The Summit", "Cherished Moments", "Homecoming", and "Song of the Ocean”. Jon wrote his beautiful song “Tribute” because sadly his sister died. The reason he wrote the song for her was because she was the one who taught him how to play the piano. If it weren’t for her, he wouldn’t have found out the glorious sensation of playing the piano. The song “Tribute” is very sorrowful, and tranquil. Thank you so much for reading this, and I hope you have the chance to listen to one of his songs in your lifetime.
