Jon "Bones" Jones is my hero because he is a Christian and he is the youngest Light-Heavyweight champion in the history of the UFC. He was born July 19, 1987 in Rochester, New York. He is 6'4" and weighs 204 Lbs. His record is 16 wins 1 loss. The one loss was from a disqualification of illegal downwards elbows against Matt Hamill. His KO/TKO's were 8 (50%) Submissions 5 (31%).

Jon "Bones" Jones always acknowledges God. After he wins a fight he says "I want to thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ."  That's good because if there's someone who has heard of Jesus but doesn't go to church or hasn't accepted Jesus they could go to church and find out more about Jesus and one more person can be saved.

"I have no doubt that Jon Jones is a devout Christian," said Roger Pattison, a training partner at Capital MMA in Alexandria, Va. "He seems to be humble, hardworking and a good person." Faith in Christ provides strength outside of yourself and makes any of the work you do much more fulfilling.  "God has blessed Jones with a natural raw talent," he said. "Young and talented, he's perhaps the most dangerous fighter I have seen for a long time. Jon Jones will win out on this one." Before beginning his MMA career, Jones was a stand-out high school wrestler and state champion. After transferring to Morrisville State College he decided to drop out of college where he was studying Criminal Justice, to begin his MMA career. Jones's UFC debut came against Andre Gusmao at UFC 87 on August 9, 2008. Jones took the fight on two weeks notice as a late replacement for Tomasz Drwal. At UFC 128, Jones defeated Mauricio Rua by TKO at 2:37 of round 3 to become the youngest UFC champion ever.

Jon "Bones" Jones is currently the Light-heavyweight champion of the world. He won't give that belt up, he'll keep on fighting for God and protecting his name.
