Have you ever blinked and a guy is so fast, he's already gone right past? Well that's what Jim did. Jim Brown was born on February 17, 1936 in St. Simons, Georgia. Jim still lives in St. Simons to this day. Jim Brown has not died yet. When Jim retired he was still on top of the league in rushing. He was in 32 movies after he retired.

In Jim's 2nd year in the National Football Association (NFL) he rushed for 1,527 yards and he scored 18 touchdowns. Jim created Amer-I-can program for taking gang members from destructive to productive members of society. In football he averaged 14.9 yards per rush and in basketball he averaged 38 points in High School! Jim had to overcome his dad leaving when he was 2 weeks old and his mom left him when he was 2 years old.

The good character traits that Jim Brown has are the following: courage, determination, and dedication. I think Jim has courage because he never backed away from racial discrimination. I also think Jim has determination because despite his parents leaving him when was very young he still stuck with it and became the best running back ever. The last trait that he had was dedication. He was dedicated because everyone told him he didn't deserve to be the best but, he didn't listen to them and became the best running back in my opinion.

I feel that Jim Brown is a hero to me because I love the Browns (the football team) and he is my favorite player of all time. He is also my hero because I like how he helped with gang members so they could be a part of something other then their gang. In my opinion I think he is the best running back of all time. I like how he still stuck with wanting to be a football player. That is why Jim Brown is my hero.
