Jesus Christ is my hero. He is not always recognized as one. He's my hero because he died for my sins. He didn't die just for me though; he died for the entire word. He could have stopped there, but he didn't. Every day we can wake up and experience all of the joys of life. We go through life every day and breathe in oxygen that just happens to be in the air. He supplies our every need. All you have to do is call his name, and he'll rush right over to you. He is awesome!

I go to church in a nearby city. I am Pentecostal. People don't understand why I wear only skirts and I don't cut my hair. I do it to please the one who made me and delivers my needs to me everyday. When Jesus lived on Earth about 2000 years ago, he traveled around a lot. Everywhere he went he would heal people. He would touch peoples' eyes, and they would receive their sight. Jesus would, and still will, give people anything they want. All they have to do is have faith. That's why when our pastor, Brother Stanton, calls for anyone to come to get prayed for, it's like a stampede! We know that God can heal any sickness.

Like I said earlier, Jesus didn't just die for my sins, he died for everyone's. If you've seen The Passion, you know what I'm talking about and what he went through. Jesus was beaten with a cat-of-nine-tails. He was beaten the same number of times that there are major categories of diseases. That means that if you have any disease, even if the doctor tells you that you can't live, God can, and will heal you. He can even bring the dead back to life! One time, in the Bible, a man was dead for four days and Jesus raised him up! If he can do that, imagine what he can do today!

Now, I hope you know why I chose Jesus as my hero. I also hope that you choose to let him be your hero, too. I have other heroes that need to be recognized, also. Policemen, firemen, and doctors all have their rightful place in a hero category. Sport stars might be your heroes, or maybe it's little kids that might be special. These are all nice, but can they deliver a sinner? Jesus isn't just my hero; he's also my friend, my father, my healer, and best of all, my savior!
